  1. Announcing The Ultimate Byte System :
  2.         Below is a short listing of some of the features it has.

  8. o       Allows Daily Accounts (similar to  PCBoard accounts using
  9.                                 PWRD file)
  10. o       Corrects problem with midnight rollover and loss of bytes
  11. o       Time implementation corrects midnight rollover loss of time.
  12. o       Allows Daily Account Bytes: operates like PCBoard bytes.
  13. o       Allows Weekly Account Bytes
  14.                 User has preset byte limit for week rather than day
  15. o       Allows Monthly Account Bytes
  16.                 User has preset byte limit for month rather than day
  17. o       Allows Quarterly Account Bytes
  18.                 User has preset byte limit for 3 mth rather than day
  19. o       Allows Semi-Annual Account Bytes
  20.                 User has preset byte limit for 6 mth rather than day
  21. o       Allows Annual Account Bytes
  22.                 User has preset byte limit for year rather than day
  23. o       File Ratio Accounts with definable ratios
  24. o       Byte Ratio Accounts with definable ratios
  25. o       File and Byte Ratio together with definable ratios
  26. o       Ratios can be calculated as a session byte limit, or as
  27.         actual math calculation of ratio at present time.
  28. o       Upload credits allowable to non ratio users.
  29.                 This will credit user with uploads who are not on
  30.                 ratio accounts, but on Monthly or Annual accounts.
  31. o       Lock Out of specific users
  32. o       Default settings of Session Bytes, Daily Bytes are security
  33.         specific.
  34. o       Individual users can be set different than their specific
  35.                 security level.
  36. o       Base Baud rate and Factoring allows flexible control on
  37.                 bytes allocated based upon current session baud rate.
  38. o       Allows greater control over Display User Info at Login
  39. o       If user is found in PWRD, TUAM will honor PWRD setting.
  40. o       Byte ratio can be calculated on Session Bytes or Actual Ratios
  41. o       No need for DEPOSIT doors on Monthly or Annual Accounts for
  42.         byte storage.
  43. o       Runs automatically and is completely maintenance and event free
  44. o       Demo File will allow 60 days free usage
  45. o       Demo Key does not need to be downloaded from support board !
  46. o       SysOp definable display screens
  47. o       Complete integration into PCBoard, transparent to user
  48. o       Can run with some user on TUAM and others on PCBoard's PWRD or
  49.         other file control system.
  50. o       Automatic control over accounts upon user expiration
  51. o       Automatic Update possible for sysop changes in Security file
  52.                 This allows one change to the Security file, and
  53.                 all users of that specific level will change.
  54.                 (User switch to disable this on user basis)
  55. o       Small Code, allows shelling to TUAM.  Executes very fast,
  56.                 making it appear invisible to users.
  57. o       Daily Limits can be enforced by security level, or can
  58.                 be disabled, relying on session limits only.
  59. o       Session Limits, allow control on per session limit, while
  60.                 allowing Daily limits to be higher.
  61.                 (for monthly or annual accounts you may wish to
  62.                         disable daily limits)
  63. o       Maintains full PCBoard security on files.
  64. o       Allows PCBoard to have full control over FREE files via
  65.         the normal FSEC file.
  66. o       Full control over time, allows Daily Time limits.
  67. o       Allows Account time to be sold and kept in master account
  68.         per user.
  69. o       Allows session time, now you can have a user with a higher
  70.         daily limit than their session limit.
  71. o       Weekly, Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, Semi Annual and Annual
  72.         resets will be build into time accounts at a later date.
  73. o       Allows for sliding security levels, and a different time
  74.         or byte level for each level.
  75. o       Automatic account change upon security level per user as
  76.         defined by sysop.
  77. o       Account that expires upon expiration of time and/or bytes.
  78.  Some Future Ideas:
  79. o       Calculates when account will expire based upon past history
  80.         and displays estimated expiration date.
  81.         Sysop definable.
  82. o       File accounts, will be able to have specific conferences where
  83.         number of files rather than number of bytes are controlled.
  84.         This will allow for distribution of specific files to users
  85.         on a quanity basis.
  86. o       Password control under sysop defination.
  87.         Will force user to change password on preset configuration,
  88.         per security level.
  89. o       Is able to check the past previous five passwords, and
  90.         disallow usage of old expired passwords.
  91. o       Password over-ride control by sysop.
